Description
The aromas jump from the glass in a fine combination of lemon, gooseberry, spring flowers, chalky soil tones, citrus zest and a nice topnote of fresh-culled grass. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and tightly-knit today, with a lovely core and soil undertow, bouncy acids and lovely length and grip on the very well-balanced finish.
Menetou-Salon's stoney soil gives a lot of minerality to the wine. Vines average 26-30 years-old. Fermented and aged in stainless steel. 2015 was the first vintage produced. Average production is 5,000 bottles per year.
