A barbera varietal, one of Italy's most popular. Rich in color, lots of great flavor. Paired excellent with light pasta with sun dried tomatos and olive oil. For desert, it paired even better with a nice straight bar of dark chocolate with hazel nut and currants. In fact, an excellent chocolate pairing!!! The currants in the chocolate pulled out amazing fruit flavors in the wine.
